Inspiring, more impressive how motivational one minute can be.  The message is plain and simple -- everybody get’s knocked down, what determines where we go when the unfortunate situations occur determine the character and fortitude of our selves.

In a race to the finish, often times it’s not the one with the most talent, but the one with the most heart that gets the gold.  Just watched The Matrix trilogy on TV, probably my 85th time.  It’s the ability of the heart to force the mind to direct the body to perform amazing feats and accomplish anything -- if it’s wanted, or for better words of the heart -- loved badly enough.

To stay at the top of our game, we can expect to be knocked down -- it’s the only way we can dig in and find that renewed determination to succeed.  No matter how far we’ve fallen, or what we should have done -- all that matters is the present and what we do from here on out.

Taken straight from the Nike YouTube site:

From Lance Armstrong on his bike, to a six-year-old in China learning martial arts, movement is the universal language that connects us all. It’s a language of beauty, drama, tragedy and triumph. And the road to athletic greatness is not marked by perfection, but the ability to constantly overcome adversity and failure.

“It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. It’s not where you’re from, it’s where you’re at. Everybody gets knocked down, how quick are you going to get up?”

Nuff said, awesome commercial.  Enjoy, share, show some love.

Fresh off the twitter press!  Hosted right here at New Hustle, download the latest Lil Wayne mixtape (all 17 tracks in high quality – 97.7 MB) – leaked four days early from the initial Halloween release date – and available exclusively in zip format here.

Love Weezy’s mix tapes – thought I’d provide my millennial hip hop fans a clean, concise, detailed .zip file containing each track name and even the album art – done by my fellow hustler and future millennial mogul @hustleGRL (as seen above).  He’s a phenomenon, and as mainstream as he has become (I prefer Atmosphere, Common, Mos Def, Fort Minor and the likes) he knows how to get the most out of every beat he’s spitting to in a cohesive, unique style.  He knows his craft, he expects the best out of himself and every song – and you can tell. Check out the MTV News exclusive video below.

He has another studio album that was supposed to be out in September, Rebirth, that has been pushed back and won’t be released “until it’s perfect” according to a spokeswoman.

That being said, this is presumably one of Weezy’s last mixtape albums before he heads to prison. In case you haven’t heard he entered a guilty plea to felony gun possession in an NYC courthouse this morning and received a one year sentencing – but a term of eight to ten months is expected.

Had he pleaded not guilty he could have been facing three years plus – think Plaxico Burress, who accidentally shot himself and still got two years prison time – crazy! The gun charges stemmed from a July 2007 incident in which police pulled over Wayne’s tour bus after a concert. They found a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

Here’s a quality review from this Rolling Stones online article:

Wayne is in full alien mode on No Ceilings, weaving together pop culture references from all over the map into his lyrics. He name checks three football players alone in his version of Jay-Z’s “D.O.A.” — Deion Sanders, Tim Tebow and former Saints QB Aaron Brooks — carves similes out of 300 and Nicole Kidman and conjures up lines that only a mad scientist like Tha Carter could concoct.

Jigga’s “D.O.A.” and “Run This Town,” The-Dream’s awesome “Fancy” and even the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” get Carterized on No Ceilings. “Young Money baby, and the building grows. As we look up, where did the ceilings go,” Lil Wayne raps in “Wasted,” giving the mixtape its title. No Ceilings looks like it’s the first phase of what promises to be a prolific Weezy in the months before he’s sentenced to prison, with Rebirth reportedly due out December 15th and Tha Carter IV possibly on the horizon.

No Ceilings track list:

1. “Swag Surfin’”
2. “Ice Cream Paint Job”
3. “D.O.A.”
4. “Interlude”
5. “Wasted”
6. “Watch My Shoes”
7. “Break Up [ft. Short Dawg & Gudda Gudda]”
8. “Banned From TV”
9. “Throw It in the Bag (Remix)”
10. “I Think I Love Her [ft. Tyga & Shanell]”
11. “Interlude #2 [ft. Shanell]”
12. “Wetter”
13. “I’m Good [ft. T-Streets]”
14. “Poke Her Face [ft. Jae Millz]”

I’ve been a Conan fan for at least a decade now. I don’t really get the time to watch his show live these days, but occasionally I’ll catch up online.

If you’re out of the loop, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, whose passionate defense of Newark City (after Conan playfully mocked that Booker’s new health care plan is “a bus ticket out of town”) has garnered national attention and over 100,000 YouTube hits since their playful feud began on September 23.

In response to Conan’s mockery, Booker fought back with a hilarious response on YouTube in which he “banned” Conan from Newark Liberty International Airport.

The YouTube duel escalated to Booker banning Conan from all of New Jersey, and Conan banning Booker from California.

Even Hillary Clinton, our nation’s top diplomat, got in the action – quelling the feud and advising both to get back to their respective purposes – for Conan, this meant dancing around the stage making fun of her “business pants”.

Now, Booker is slotted as a guest on The Tonight Show this Friday – all because he leveraged the power of social media to defend his city – even if it was in play. The Millennial Generation loves this stuff.

What’s really important here is the power of social media. Using his 826,000 followers on Twitter, Mayor Booker gets it. You don’t need to pay millions of dollars anymore for national attention. You don’t need million dollar production crews to make a video – look at the success Paranormal Activities is having in the box-office with limited advertising costs. Social media is changing the game.

Excerpt from MSN article:
“This kind of exposure is extremely rare for someone who’s not a senator, governor or presidential candidate,” said Joe Trippi, a political consultant who managed Democrat Howard Dean’s Internet-driven presidential campaign in 2004. “This shows how savvy Cory Booker is about new media and how it can be used to leverage mainstream and old media.”

This transition to viral advertising lends more power to the innovative and creative. For the sake of Newark, who has long been the butt of many New York jokes, it’s good to see a fresh face with a grasp on the limitless potential of social media.

Watch the clip and enjoy!

New Hustle is all about keeping up with the latest and greatest tech and toys – and what’s the point of hustling as hard as we do everyday without having in mind exactly what it is we would like out of life?  We decide where to put our hard earned money – and I’d put mine in the next 7 items.  Of course, money can’t buy happiness – but it can bring a lot of temporary smiles.  That being said, on to my favorite top 7 items that keep me inspired daily to keep on grinding out improvement after improvement of the self.

1.  The JJAD P1E

Excerpt taken from www.carbodydesign.com

The car will combine a design inspired by the Lancia Stratos with an electric powertrain with two electric motors – one for each axle – and lithium-ion batteries, for a total power output of 390 hp and 590lb-ft of torque.

Thanks to the extensive use of lightweight materials (composite body panels on a hybrid aluminum-carbon fiber structure) the total mass is expected to be about 1,050 kg.

Estimated performance figures are a range of 200 miles, a 0-60 mph sprint in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph.  Look out for it in 2012.

2.  The Somnus-Neu Bed

Excerpt taken from design.spotcoolstuff.com
The Somnus-Neu bed includes:

    • An internet connection, either through wifi or ethernet.

    • An entire audio-visual system with an HD video projector and 5-point audio system that includes drivers mounted beneath the mattress—hook up an iPod, watch cable TV or DVDs or stream media online.

    • Mechanized curtains and a drop-down screen that can be used to completely enclose the mattress.

    • LED lighting under, above and around the bed—turn on a reading light, create your own light show or set a sensual mood.

3. sunRED Solar Powered Motorcycle

Named sunRED, this solar powered motorcycle prototype is currently being built.  The solar panels are retractable, and supposedly can charge within 2.5 hours.  The panels continue to work when the cover is down, but at a far less absorption rate.  Apparently the speed is something to be improved, but I’ll keep my eye out.

4.  Digital Newspaper Reader

Saves paper, and it’s just cool.  Automatically updates when the digital version is released and charges at the same time.  Was the winner of a bronze medal at the 2009 IDEA awards.  Amazing innovation.

5.  Light emitting wallpaper

From Dutch designer Jonas Samson, you can turn the design on and off – thus having regular wallpaper or stylish designs lit up underneath. Creates stunning ambiance within any room.

6. The Phillips Aurea

Ever since Phillips came out with their Ambilight, I was hooked. Now they’ve taken it a step up with the Aurea. Led lights emit a backdrop of the colors that are on the screen, enhancing your viewing experience. I’ll take one for each room.

7. A Green Roof

Check out this
great article about how these green roofs have the potential to offset global warming. Imagine if every business and/or house accommodated a green roof – the impact we could have on the environment would be astounding.  And, you’ll have your own personal garden to maintain instead of wasting your time on Farmville.
